oOh!media NZ Champions Women-Led Businesses with Nationwide Digital Campaign for International Women’s Day 2025

In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, oOh!media New Zealand is stepping up again, using its national digital Out of Home network to amplify women in business.

From Monday, 3rd of March, more than 25 women-owned and led businesses across Aotearoa willbe showcased on oOh!’s nationwide network, celebrating their innovation and success. This follows the buzz of last year’s campaign, with the 2025 initiative aligning with the global IWD theme, #AccelerateAction, urging bold moves towards gender equality. Research from the World Economic Forum shows that full gender parity could be over a century away, making the call for action louder than ever.

“It’s more than visibility – it’s action,” says Nick Vile, General Manager of oOh! NZ. “Through our national platform, we’re giving women-led businesses a megaphone to showcase their powerful economic and social impact across Aotearoa. We’re especially proud to be leveraging our regional networks this year, ensuring locally grown businesses from every corner of the country are represented.”

The 2025 IWD campaign features a diverse range of industries, from retail and FMCG to fitness and creative companies. Businesses like Get Up To Skateboard (Taranaki), Abel Fragrance (Wellington), Untouched World (Canterbury), and Art + Body Creative Studio (Bay of Plenty), among others from eight regions, will be in the spotlight.

For many of these businesses, the exposure is a game-changer. Katarina Rajh, founder of Get Up To Skateboard, a skate school with a special girls’ programme in Taranaki, shared her excitement: “Being part of this campaign means everything for small businesses like mine. Visibility is key, and the support from oOh! opens doors to a whole new audience.”

Abel Fragrance Founder and CEO, Frances Shoemack, echoes the impact: “As a business with global ambitions, visibility in our home market is incredibly valuable. This campaign celebrates women-led businesses of all sizes, and we’re proud to be part of a movement that champions action towards equality.”

This initiative is a powerful example of oOh!’s commitment to ‘Making Public Spaces Better,’ driving value and meaningful conversations. With campaigns like this, oOh! continues to pave the way for inclusivity, ensuring that women-led businesses across Aotearoa are seen, heard, and celebrated.
