oOh!media NZ calls for agencies to come together to support Youthline

Auckland, New Zealand 31 minutes is the average time Youthline’s Online Helpline counsellors spend with each young person in crisis. For the month of May 2022, Youthline is encouraging New Zealanders to Walk the Talk” for 31 minutes every day, fundraising support for young people struggling with their mental health along the way.

As a long standing partner and supporter of Youthline, oOh!media is signing up the oOh! team for Walk the Talk for a second year and challenging  their own clients to get on board. To make the exercise-fuelled fundraising as appealing and exciting as possible, oOh! has gone one step further, on-boarding market leading fitness brands Body Fit Training (BFT) Grey Lynn, Fitness All Together, Hauora Wellbeing Studio, Playground Fitness and Fluidform Pilates to help the team get their sweat on.

oOh! has arranged for a series of classes during the work days in May for their team and clients to get active. For those interested, people in the industry can check out the schedule to get involved: oohmedianz.com/31foryouthline-22. Rather than paying for the classes, oOh! has asked participants to donate to the oOh! Walk the Talk donation page: https://walkthetalk.nz/t/ooh-medias-team

Nick Vile, General Manager of oOh!media New Zealand notes, “I’m always proud to see the team get behind our long-standing New Zealand community partners in new and engaging ways. We’re stoked to be supporting this awesome initiative for another year now, and partnering with leading fitness brands to ensure we can have as much fun, whilst supporting a good cause.”

Last year, the oOh! team and supportive clients collectively exercised for at least 21,490 minutes in May 2021, equating to over 350 hours. This resulted in raising a total of $3,080 for Youthline, which went towards supporting more than 60 young people.
