oOh!’s commitment to a sustainable future: the Positive Impact Project

New Zealand; This morning, aligning perfectly with Earth Day, oOh!media New Zealand has announced the launch of its new sustainable initiative, ‘The Positive Impact Project’, which will run as part of oOh!’s current Community Programme. Positive Impact has been designed to support sustainably and socially focused businesses spread their messages and products to Kiwis on the street, and in retail centres across the country.

oOh! is committed to a sustainable future and is constantly finding ways to innovate in this space by reviewing, adapting, and adopting new practices to support its vision.
This initiative will allow businesses to apply to be part of the programme that will utilise media space to amplify their messages and projects that promote positive messages, products, and brands. Further to this, any posters produced for these campaigns will become part of the Future Post programme which sees posters recycled into fence posts and used across the New Zealand agriculture sector.

Kelly Harvey, Head of Marketing at oOh!media New Zealand says, “The Positive Impact Project allows oOh! to shine light on socially led companies that are sharing positive messages and making a change within their communities. It’s our way of giving back by providing the space for these businesses to showcase the epic work they are doing within the sustainability and social space. We’re extremely proud to continue to support local charities, and now, businesses who are doing good too.”

oOh!’s Community programme has been running for a number of years, providing the opportunity to support New Zealand charities with this ‘filler’ space. Currently oOh! has long-standing partnerships with Youthline, Keep NZ Beautiful, Urban Art Foundation and Orange Sky, as well as Voices of Hope.

To be eligible to partake in the ‘Positive Impact Project’, partners must be a product or service that delivers a positive environmental or social solution and is accessible to all Kiwis.

oOh! is delighted to announce the first Positive Impact partner is Maggie Marilyn. Maggie Marilyn is a Kiwi sustainable and ethical brand who is committed to using the best quality fabrics that are both kind to the people and the planet.

Founder of Maggie Marilyn, Maggie Hewitt says: “We are thrilled to be one of the first recipients of the project. Maggie Marilyn has the mission of making the world a better place and it’s so great to see the support that oOh! are giving to businesses that are striving for this too.”
