Sustainability

oOh!media is an eco-responsible organisation actively reducing its environmental impact towards a green future.

A champion of sustainable business practices, oOh!’s low-carbon activities have a flow-on effect across all its programs, initiatives and networks.

Meridian Accreditation

oOh! was one of the foundation businesses to jump on board with the Meridian Certified Renewable Energy product.

Through this product we are able to report our Scope 2 electricity emissions – those linked to electricity usage – as zero.

This is vitally important for our business to ensure that our impact on the environment (through our illuminated and digital assets), is as minimal as possible.

Turning our posters into fenceposts

Through the team at Future Post New Zealand Limited, oOh! turns our Classic posters waste into premium fenceposts that are used by New Zealand farmers, viticulturists and horticulturists.

As well as ensuring the old posters don’t end up adding to landfill, the Future Post initiative is able to recycle this waste into a product that performs better than the original – a fencepost that doesn’t crack, rot or split and doesn’t leak tannins into the soil like wooden fence posts – it’s a win, win!

We’re about making an impact Out of Home, not on the planet.

oOh! Positive Impact Project

At oOh! we have a critical focus on reducing our impact across our entire ecosystem. We are committed to finding new ways to innovate in this space by constantly reviewing, adapting and adopting new practices that support our vision.

As a further addition to our ongoing commitment to the communities in which we operate, the oOh! Positive Impact Project has been been designed to support sustainably and socially-focused businesses spread their messages to Kiwis on the Street and in Retail centres across New Zealand.
